With layered stars, striking angles, and eye-catching negative space, this quilt looks intricate—but it’s surprisingly approachable. Using just five 1-yard cuts of fabric, along with trusted techniques like strip piecing, half-square triangles, and stitch & flip, quilters can confidently create a stunning 46" x 67" quilt that lives up to its name.

Whether you’re ready to stretch your skills or simply love a quilt that makes a statement, the 2026 Showstopper is designed to shine in any fabric palette and any space.

Materials Needed:
  • 5, 1-yard cuts of coordinating fabric.
  • 4 yards for backing fabric.
  • Batting.
  • Sewing thread to match fabrics.

Assembly Notes:
  • Use fabric that is no less than 42" after selvages are removed.
  • Single fold binding is used. An additional 1/4 yard of fabric is needed for a double fold binding.
  • 1/4" seam allowance is used throughout the quilt.
  • We choose to press our seams open.
